Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: The gate was closed in the morning (sometime between 7 and 8am I believe) because Dartmouth was taking first years there up busses that needed to get through. This added a 1/2-2/3mi road walk depending on how far down the road you had to park. On Gaia it was the gate by "Ravine Summer Parking". Some got in before the gate closed and I was very impressed to see the lodge leave notes on there car, explaining why the gate was closed, telling them they could open it and just close it being them, etc. Ravine Lodge Road is dirt and has some potholes and such but should be doable by any car.

Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Gorge Brook Trail is blazed in blue and is well signed. I could be wrong, but I feel like the blazes become less and less frequent the more elevation you gain. Not at all hard to follow though. I do not recall if there were any blowdowns.

Comments
Comments: An absolutely beautiful hike with a bunch of beautiful people to celebrate a friends Grid finish :) Gorge Brook Trail was pretty damn dry as it has been most of the year. As I'm sure I've said before, the grades on this trail are probably the nicest to any 4K peak or definitely one of the nicest. The footing isn't ideal but isn't awful either (certainly better than Tripoli Rd to Osceola) which in my opinion really does make this one of the easiest 4000 footers. Gorgeous weather above treeline and delightful conversation and celebration with so many others including a delightful after party. A big "Congratulations!!" to Melissa and a "We miss you!" to Larry.
