Found a trekking pole, brought it to the trailhead and left it next to the first rock. It’s a cheap one. |

What a fine afternoon. I went up the North Slide, the rocks were dry, yet the trees were all wet from the fog. I took a shortcut on the way down and checked off a NHHH peak. There is a herd path through the hobble bush to the summit of Scaur Peak. After signing in the jar, I stayed on the same bearing and followed the NW ridge back to the pass, in nice moose-trampled woods. What a great shortcut, and I saw 2 moose. Actually I felt like I was interrupting them. The bull stood and grunted a bit, then walked off. He didn’t want his picture taken I guess. |
