Driving:
From US 3 we took Indian Stream Rd, a good dirt road until about 8 miles in (I was using my odometer). We were warned that the road is washed out and only camp owners were permitted past the 8 mile mark. We were also told by a local passerby that the road is patrolled by plane to keep trespassers out. I can neither confirm nor deny this statement although our group did hear a plane. We left two cars near the Red Line trail jct, and continued on Cowen Hill Rd, an ATV trail. We were in a Jeep and Subaru Crosstek, do not attempt without skills and a high clearance vehicle. There were no signs prohibiting vehicles from driving on Cowen Hill Rd. We parked at the junction of Cowen Hill and Willie’s Way. Cowen Hill is roped off at this junction.
All of these roads have excellent signage.
Do NOT take Red Line Trail- ATV only. There are to massive boulders that narrow the entrance near the Cowen Hiil rd jct.

BW Overview:
We summited the easy and straightforward Cowen Hill first, then returned to the roadway. We walked down to the road, then back into the woods to climb Cowen Hill, North (aka Cowen Hill Camp Peak). It was very boggy down low, very little issue yesterday as it has not rained in two weeks. But normal conditions will get your feet wet. Boggy area ensconced in tight pine trees. Property boarder found and noted to be blazed in red blazes and is cut open for single lane foot path, however the boundary line is soggy and muddy. Cowen Hill North was more time consuming requiring more elevation and route searching to avoid dense tree thickets and small (but still an obstacle) rock cliffs.
It was roughly 3.23 miles total. This was taken from my Garmin watch.
