| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
There was still some room at the SE trailhead along Long Pond Rd. when I arrived around 11 a.m. When I returned there was evidence of "creative" parking. |

No blowdowns. Blazing still needs to be redone. The summit spur path could use a sign or other official marking as people still sometimes miss it. Today it was marked by a crude cairn. |

A short hike to Blueberry after an appointment in Plymouth. I think I'm used to hiking this more in winter as the trail sure looked different!
Not too much to report conditions-wise. Everything was completely dry, even the mud. I also did the side trip down to the NW ledges, which still offer good views out toward Vermont.
There was some question by people at the summit as to where the highest point was, but I'm still going with the ledge that has the cairn and United States Coast Survey pins. The NH Granit lidar layer shows four bumps on top of similar elevation.
Foliage color is starting to appear in this area but still has some time to go before peaking. |
