Ski trails are substantially mowed at this point, other than some steeps that are cut by hand.
Birch leaves have dropped up high, covering the trail for the time being. Still some nice golden foliage in the upper elevations. Lower elevation foliage is still fairly green, but colors are emerging.
A hiker fell on the rocky stretch a few tenths above the ski area viewpoint. Fortunately Fish & Game was able to drive up to the bottom of the chairlift and there were enough of us to help carry the litter.
Partly sunny day with October-like temperatures to start, possibly hitting the lower 60s later on. |
