| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail |
| Recommended Equipment: |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Everything water crossing is very low and easy rock hops right now |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Everything in great shape overall. A couple of easy step overs down low on Sphinx but outside of that only a few spots where the trail is grown in; small upper section on Wamsutta, just below treeline on Buttress, and just below treeline on Sphinx. |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
I would advice against bringing a dog on most steep trail leading out of the Great Gulf, Great Gulf Trail past Spaulding Lake, and King Ravine Trail past Mossy Falls |
| Bugs: |
none! |

| Comments: |
Trails were dry making all the boulders and scrambles easy to get good grip on. All water crossings are easy at the moment. Trails in the Great Gulf are not blazed but as long as you are paying attention you will easily be able to stay on trail. Great Gulf headwall has some small cairns and old faded yellow blazes here and there so keep you eye out for them.
Perfect way to end summer roaming around in and out of the ravines over lightly used trails with great views. Colors are changing fast in the ravines, especially the Birch. Israel Ridge Path is a hidden gem with forgiving footing and hardly anyone is ever on it, go check it out!
