Only main issue is the upper stretches of Jewell trail need to be brushed back more as you are getting scraped up pretty good in some sections. There were several blowdowns also, couple only partially removed. I wonder if this trail is as popular as it used to be. |

Great loop hike, I enjoyed my 24th ascent of Washington and truly was glad the weather stayed great all day. Lots of low clouds but they would part now and again. A truly majestic place that I was glad to still be able to visit. Lakes of the Clouds was closing this weekend so Ammo was pretty busy. Summit not too busy. Fun to see the old Steam Cog make her way up the tracks again. |
