Up to the Lonesome Lake Hut, the trails are straightfroward. The Fishin Jimmy trail is rather deceptive. Baed on the stats, it doesn't look too bad. The reality is that it's a very rugged trail with near-constant large rock negotiation interspersed with wooden steps nailed into slab, ladders, an iron rung, and some cutouts for foot and handholds in slab. HikingProject lists the first mile of the trail above the hut as being flat - IT'S NOT!!! It has many ups and downs which were more noticeable on the way back. We did the side trip to Kinsman Pond with was definitely worth it. KRT is more rocky/slabby terrain, but perhaps a little less angry than Fishin Jimmy. The summits were fogged in so we didn't go to any of the outlooks up top.
