 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Extremely well maintained trail! No real issues. Could use another blaze or two on the initial descent from Dickey. |

 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Many dogs were seen today! Often able to handle the slippery slopes better than we humans. Someone dropped a wag bag, which we carried out. |
|
 | Bugs: |
Hickory tussock moth caterpillars were everywhere! Look out for them on the rocks. It must be close to pupation season! |

 | Comments: |
We hiked this trail on a perfect bright clear day. The rains kept many areas of rock slick, so be careful on the scrambles and wear good shoes. We saw a lot of people go down (including us a few times). Do NOT recommend going clockwise especially right now. Significant trail erosion in spots leaving wet roots exposed; use trails have developed in several areas and near some of the wetter scrambles. Leaves are turning already and the views are unparalleled! It’s a good time to hike this trail if the weather stays dry. |
