Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: This route has many blowdowns but most of them don't significantly impede travel. Along the ridge shortly below the spur path to South Resolution there is one tree that requires a duck under and a second that requires climbing over. Noted refreshed blazes on Mt. Langdon Trail between the trailhead and the wilderness boundary. Rock water bars are still in good shape.

Comments
Comments: Always looking for different ways to hike the 52s, I opted for another visit to Parker then continued along the ridge to South Resolution. This is a round-trip of about 11 miles.

This entire route was damp this morning due to the recent rains and fog. I did take one small tumble slipping on a wet ledge. Fortunately, the trails in this area are generally smooth and easy on the feet so they aren't too much of an issue when wet. Things were drying out as I was returning in the early afternoon.

The 0.1-mi. spur path to South Resolution is pretty darn clear now; out in the open the way is guided by small cairns. The clouds were low so views were obscured. I could hear people talking over on Mt. Crawford. When I returned to Parker skies were beginning to clear out but Washington was still in the clouds.

For a lightly-traveled route, Mt. Parker Trail between Parker and the spur path for South Resolution was in fantastic shape. No overgrowth and an obvious, clear corridor the whole way.

A very, very quiet day out here today. I only saw two other people, a couple of backpackers along the ridge who were headed for Resolution.
