Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Only about a half-dozen when I got there, maybe a dozen when I returned.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Leaves - Significant/Slippery
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The single main crossing from east side to west side of Little River was an easy rock hop & I kept my boots dry. All other "crossings" were just little streams or trickles. Water levels were pretty low.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails were in awesome shape. Only a couple of minor walk-unders, hardly any standing water, and the mud was pretty easily avoidable in most areas.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw one well behaved pooch on the summit of South Twin (Sophie?) working on her 48. Great job!!
Bugs
Bugs: Surprisingly there were a few mosquitos down low and a few gnats up top. None biting though, I didn't even bring the bug spray.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: None and none. Didn't even see any trash to pick up today - great job everyone!!

Comments
Comments: Beautiful day on the Twins!! I really enjoyed walking along Little River and wished it was a little warmer out - I definitely would have gone for a swim on my way down! We were treated to a beautiful undercast to the north at the summits, and mostly clear to the south with views of the Pemi Woods forever. Spent about an hour on top of South Twin enjoying lunch and the views. Could hardly have asked for a better day!
