List: NH 500 Highest
Trail type: dirt road
Jar/Canister: unknown
We travelled along NH 145 to Creampoke Road. This is a good dirt road that is open to the public. We took this road up until the junction with Haynes Rd. I remembered this from my Cohos Trail thru hike, but I digress. We veered right and continued to the junction with McAllister Road (also a dirt road, posted, ATV only). Mudget Mountain road was on our left as facing McAlilster road. We parked here as there was a good pull off. Mudget Mountain road is signed, and has a phone next to the sign. This road is posted as private, but does not say “no trespassing.” Thus, we walked up the road to the white building, radio tower, and what looks to be a dump truck grave yard. We did not explore to try to find a jar. There was just too much broken vehicle parts and my tetanus shot is not up to date. |
