Mine had the day off but he would have loved this route. Willey Range Trail ladder sections with missing steps could be very troublesome for inexperienced dogs so keep that in mind. |

Trails overall in good shape considering the heavy use some sections I did today see.
Willey Range Trail is very eroded in spots below and above the ladders. Some of the ladders are in very rough shape, a few steps missing and a few rotting. Webster-Cliff Trail just north of Mount Jackson has the bottomless mud bog, do not fall off the bog bridges or you'll have a bad time, couple of other muddy patches to watch out for too.
Still some fantastic colors in Crawford Notch, views from the many ledges below Mount Webster were phenomenal. Cars parked everywhere in Crawford Notch, it's bananas but it's peak foliage and happy to see people out enjoying it.
Rain and cold up here the next few days, maybe some snow above 3K so expect slow and slick conditions until the sun comes back out towards the end of the week |
