Our 5-year-old rescue shepherd mix did great the whole way, but there were some challenges on the scrambles at the top of Tuckerman. Saw several other good-sized dogs today |

We did NOT have microspikes, and that really didn't matter up high, where the snow was either powdery in drifts or slushy. What you really need are good boot soles and, for descent on Boott Spur, good ankle support. Poles help too! Otherwise a beautiful, clear day with few people out |
