Plenty of snow above treeline for dogs to cool off in the next few days during the warm up. Experienced hiking dogs should have no issues going up and down Tuckerman Ravine Trail. Sarge had a blast! |

First mile and a half no snow to a dusting, rocks slippery in the morning. Snow line started for good after second bridge, it's packed down and can be bare booted or you can use light traction, rocks still showing so use old dull spikes. Hermit Lake to headwall mix of rock and snow with some ice. Above headwall to summit better snow coverage, snow is sticky and melting fast. I barebooted up and used old microspikes back down to Lunch Rocks. Great morning out with a pretty wild temperature inversion happening early. |
