Comments
Comments: I came from Green Mountain in Claremont, which only took about 25 minutes to get to. I could have done another peak after this one but it was rainy. I started from my car and headed up the logging road for about .4 miles. I hit a large open area with a shooting table. I then looked around and on the right side there was some dug out part of the side which is where the "trail" starts. If you are a bushwhacker, it is cake to follow. There is orange flagging tape as well as some large paw prints for markings on trees. I made it to the summit and could not find the jar/pill bottle but I did actually find what tree it had been on as the left over duck tape is still hanging on. So no register this time. There are some fun artifacts up there and a killer view. I did follow the trail past the actual summit a little ways and it looks like the footbed continues for a while but I was solo and didn't feel like exploring that much...maybe for another day. The total trip with walking around in circles on trop trying to find the registry, only took me 2.1 miles and 1:20 minutes. Nice peak for the nh500 list.
