Comments
Comments: Well what a different kind of day it was. It called for a clear day but when I started it was raining so my rain jacket went on. At about 2500' is where he rain had swapped to snow and yet October being very snowing a cold for sure. I had traction in the car but the snow that was here, it would have done no help to even being more dangerous. The ledges didn't have any ice, just fresh snow and running water on them. The main ledge we all think of, just had water on it. It is going to be an interesting time when the tree that has held on for so long ends up breaking but it is still hanging on so far. Once I got to the Ledges peak the clouds started to clear and there were even drifts here!! Heading to the true summit had way more snow than the rest, especially being within the woods. It was probably 2-3". There was 1 younger guy who had passed me on the ledges and then he headed on. The only other 2 I saw were 2 guys just heading to Whiteface. Coming down I figured would be sketch but it wasn't bad even with my wet trail runners and mitts. The sun was out and melting things fast. The snow line rose, so once back at 2500' it was practically dry now. The day had bluebird skies now, what a change.
