Comments
Comments: Although the SPNHF website discusses recent logging & trail closure, and there are signs at the little meadow at the lower end of the Michael John Donovan trail that say "DANGER / KEEP OUT / ACTIVE LOGGING AREA", still, on the advice of local residents we found the logging was not at that moment going on, so we walked through the little meadow (which is currently half-full with logs) and hiked to the almost-summit of North Gap Mountain. So, perhaps the logging is only on weekdays? that was my guess. The logging is not disrupting the trail, just the meadow between the road and the Michael J. Donovan trailhead sign at the edge of the woods.
