| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Lots of space on this mid-week day in late October |
|
| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Snow/Ice - Small Patches |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
|
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
There were a few and all were doable but higher than I've seen all summer probably due to snowmelt. I was glad to have waterproof boots because I had to step on submerged rocks - some of those above the water line were slick |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
No real issues, one of the ladders on the Israel Ridge trail is missing a rung and others look a bit worn |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
We didn't see anyone on Castle until nearly at the bottom and that was someone with 2 dogs going for a short walk. Wouldn't think the upper part of the trail would be fun for a dog |

| Bugs: |
None |

| Comments: |
Nice loop, lots of variety in the trails we took. More snow than I expected (mostly one up on Jefferson Loop), but all of it was soft and not very deep where we had to cross it. Very few people along the way (5 including the person with the dog going for the short walk) |
