| Dog-Related Notes: |
A few pups out having the time of their lives with their humans. All were very well behaved. One Rottweiler in particular that was an exemplar of his breed -- friendly (if a bit skittish), lovely colorings, and great composition, coming out with dad (a local) for a walk in his natural habitat. Awesome. |

#45 for the October grid. Woo-hoo! This is getting exciting. Whatever will I do in this month next year? (Assuming all goes to plan!)
This trail is such a pleasure for me... even if the drive to the trailhead is long. I think Hale still takes it as far as easiest of the 48, but this is still easy, with amazing views from the top, to boot. I can't think of a reason not to hike this trail. So good!
No ice or snow. Mud was pretty minimal, but where it is, it's something to think about. Bog bridges in a few places is reaching the end of its service life. You feel a lot springy as you walk across, in that "oh, I hope this gets replaced soon" kind of way.
Photos and a more detailed trip report are on my blog, as always. Share and enjoy! |
