Trail Maintenance Notes: All is in good shape. Two large, old blowdowns (one on Elwell Trail at the crux, just north of Little Sugarloaf summit; the other on the Goose Pond Trail) have been removed. One of these had been around for over a year; the other, for about 10 years. Nice to have them gone now.

Comments
Comments: A quick jaunt for some fresh air; saw just 2-3 other people.

NOTE: it's a mast year for oak trees -- stay frosty!

Water levels everywhere, in particular on Goose Pond, are very low, down by at least two feet from normal. Beaver dam near the pond outlet is falling apart -- the active colony from a couple of years ago has probably packed up and left.
