Comments
Comments: It was (briefly) winter in the presis today! A little black ice on the ground getting out of the cog parking lots. Trace snow started relatively early on the ammonousuc ravine trail. About half way up the trail there was more snow on the ground, but no accumulation. We did put on micro-spikes as the ice was building. Coming up crawford path, there was more snow and ice, but not enough snow covering the rocks yet that you could wear snow-shoes (hopefully soon there will be a blanket of snow covering the rocks and we can switch to snow-shoes). Coming down to Jewell was much the same with lots of white dusted icy rocks until you get below treeline.

TL;DR: very cold conditions at the summits. Minimal snow/ice. Appreciated having winter boots and micro-spikes.
