Comments
Comments: Cleared a few large branches from the trail and kicked open a few waterbars where the ground was not frozen.

A good day for this peak, temps from 20 to 45, overcast (no views), breezy at times. Saw 5 hikers and 1 dog. I was the first one on the trail today and there was a trace of snow at the trailhead and 2 inches of snow from the cabin to the peak. I followed boot tracks in the snow, either from Monday or Sunday, and the tracks ended at the high point about 100 feet from the cabin. I continued on to the peak, about a quarter of a mile further in untracked snow. It may be that some hikers don't know that the Mt. Cabot peak is about 1/4 mile past the cabin.
