Comments
Comments: We only saw one person all day. A little snow going up Sabbaday brook but not enough to soak through my boots. As we climbed things dried out and there was no snow on the slide or ridge. I like the out and back to North better then coming up Pine Bend and after we did that we made quick work of the ridge and south slide and headed over to Kate Sleeper. It's been several years since my last trip across and the signage has greatly improved but the foot bed on the sleepers and really this whole traverse is one of the best in the northeast in mho. Viz was limited but enough to make out the next peak along the way and the day got warmer which was nice. It's always nice to see new peaks in someone else's eyes as TAZ ADK has never spent much time in the whites but a competent and tested hiker in NY.
