Comments
Comments: First two miles of North Twin Trail to the crossing of Little River is in good shape, some minor mud. Little River is running very low, rocks were greasy today due to the summer like humidity. Steep part of North Twin Trail is eroded in spots but overall not bad. Worst mud of the day was on North Twin spur, there is a hundred foot stretch before the final push up to South Twin that is a continuous mud puddle, some rocks to hop on but easier to just walk right through.

Twinway was a little tedious since the rocks and roots were slick from the warm up. beware of roots, don't put to much trust in them with your feet if hopping down.

Galehead Hut is closed for the season, Frost Trail to Galehead had some mud but no worse than usual.

Garfield Ridge Trail and Gale River Trail clear and easy sailing. Jumped off trail around 1800' to cut over to the north end of the Gale River Road and then continued onto the gated forest service road (snowmo trail) that dumped me out to Haystack Road about two miles before the trailhead to make a nice 16 mile loop of these mountains.

Very warm morning with hazy views, felt like mid June except with none of the bugs!
