Comments
Comments: The smaller blowdowns noted on the Woodland Trail, near the lodge, in our report from October 21 have been removed -- we brought saw and loppers to take care of them, but someone beat us to the punch. Thank you, whoever did that!

We continued past this section to head to the other end of the Woodland Trail -- a quick leg-stretch to check the blazing we did a few weeks back to pull most of the flagging. We left a bit of it in place on the unblazed corridor just south of the old beaver ponds, where the Woodland Trail ceases to be an old woods road and becomes a bona fide trail. It could be helpful this winter.

Trail is in good shape. We had some spare time, so took the Skyland Trail to Grafton Knob, a nice little open ledge high spot. As has been reported a few times already, some of the blazing on Skyland is pretty faded. For now, the corridor is pretty easy to follow.

All trails are pretty well covered in leaves, and any sometimes-wet sections are now wet/muddy -- it's that time of year. But, the Woodland Trail new relo around the 100-foot VERY wet section of trail is doing its job.

We saw but one person during our walk, the trail maintainer for the Woodland Trail near the lodge, clearing drains of leaves. He assured us that he had not removed the aforementioned blowdowns.
