I hiked a presidential traverse to grid out november. I finished my 11th round on pierce. There were some patches of ice, mostly in the below treeline sections. There was never consistent enough ice to put on microspikes. I always managed to avoid it by stepping on rocks. There was some light rime ice covering the rocks. There was great weather and great conditions. |
