Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: There remains one large step over blowdown approximately .7 miles above the loop junction on the east side. The forest service knows about it, and it is on their chainsaw list. It is an easy step over.

Comments
Comments: I am the trailer adopter. I hiked, today, to finish the fall maintenance. I cleared 9 minor and 13 major drainages (I cleared the other 19 minor drainages last weekend). I remived three blowdowns.

I hiked counterclockwise. I noted many new non-regulation blazes, mostly on the west side of the loop. They are disturbing. Additionally, someone took out the awesome handrail log that we used just above Allen’s ledge, in icy conditions. It’s clearly axe work, and it’s a bit messy. Lastly, someone removed the brushing and attempted to route the trail around two small sections. This is not desirable as there is significant erosion in these locations.
I fixed what I could. If you want to be a trail adopter there are lots of great trails to adopt, and the USFS will give you training. If you want to help me on Hedgehog let me know. Let’s do things the correct way, yes? Thanks.
