| Comments: |
Nice fall day down low with fairly dry trail and clear skies, temperatures in the lower 40s by early afternoon.
In the softwoods above the water crossings, shoulder season is arriving. Frozen ground with a dusting of snow with a few ice bulges starting form. Barebootable for now, but a minor precip event could necessitate light traction for a few short stretches. Chilly up high with some brisk wind gusts.
I would advise against descending the ski slopes from the end of the Sosman Trail, as snowmaking operations are in full swing, with high pressure water hoses and high voltage electric cords stretched across all of the entire upper slopes. I suspect there will be skiing very soon.
Hiking trails were rather quiet. |
