Comments: Beautiful new bog/mud bridges between Mt. Wolf and Eliza Brook

Out and backed from Kinsman Notch with a night at Eliza Brook to redline this section of the AT and get these two for my fall grid. Brand new bear box at the Eliza Brook campsite. Spikes carried, but never worn. Many small, avoidable patches of ice on the ascent of South Kinsman. Couple tricky spots that require very deliberate foot placement, but the sun was melting it fast. Fun climb, steep and scrambly. Probably one of the last people to hike this section till the spring, but trail was in great shape. The trip back was a slog. Should have taken the offer I got for a ride back to my car from a more popular trailhead!
