Gate still open, I'd expect it to stay that way until they get some low snow. 6 or 7 cars in the lot. |

black fleece headband someone had hung from a stick in the trail maybe 1.5 miles in...wasn't there on the way up. |

Forecast had the potential to be socked in but ended up being a banner day on Garfield. Leaves were not very slippery down low, and while there was ice above ~3800' it was mostly on the short stretch at the top on the Garfield Ridge Trail and easy to rock hop without spikes as it was above freezing so the rocks weren't icy. It won't take much precipitation/cold temps to make this stretch micro spike worthy. Some pics in the link below. |
