Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: We parked at the Welton Falls (South) trailhead in Alexandria, just on the side of the right-of-way that leads to the trail -- careful to pull way out off to the side so as not to (even remotely) impact access for the residents nearby who use the right-of-way to get to the driveway for their home. There's room here for a couple of cars.

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Water levels are pretty low -- Templeton Brook was the only drainage/creek with anything in it, and it was a simple rock hop to cross.

Comments
Comments: This is a follow-up to our walk of some of these trails yesterday -- we went back this afternoon to retrieve a misplaced item, and decided to do a longer loop, using the Elwell Trail and Gove Road.

The blowdown mentioned yesterday has been removed, but there are now three new ones from overnight/earlier today -- nothing major or difficult to traverse, but something to note for next time we have a chainsaw with us.

Elwell Trail right now is just lovely. Coming back along Gove Road, we stopped for a moment and took a look at two mid- to late-1800s house foundations. Interesting to imagine that entire area being completely open and farmed over a century ago.
