| Comments: |
Dusting of snow above 3500' and icy just before gaining the ridge at the Mount Kinsman/KRT junction. Worst of the ice is on both sides of the summit cone of North Kinsman, you can dance around the ice and find safe passage by just taking your time. I barebooted but could have thrown on my rock spikes to go quicker but they aren't needed at the moment, nano-spikes or studded trail runners would be a great option too. Other than that the trail conditions are pretty tame for mid November at the moment.
Cold but comfortable early morning with crystal clear views from the summits. |
