| Comments: |
Conditions were as expected, a dusting of snow starting around 2500 ft to almost an inch at the summit. I never put my spikes on, but did need wind pants and gaiters, and a jacket with a hood going up through the brushy overgrown trails. Luckily it was cold enough there was no melting and the snow brushed right off.
The main thing I really dislike about hiking in this area is the truck traffic on route 2. I could hear every big truck downshift on that hill heading to Gorham. However I will say it was nice having the place to myself, and a clear blue sky. I can’t complain about hiking on a Wednesday. |
