Surface Conditions: Dry Trail
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Easy rock hop across Lucy Brook
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail is in great shape except for one leaning paper birch quite low on Red Ridge. It’s not impeding hiker traffic and isn’t something that a solo trail maintainer would clear on their own. Just an fyi for the future. It is snapped about chest high, but still attached.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw a few out for walks up to and around Diana’s Baths. I don’t hike with a dog, but coming off of North Moat toward Middle has some significant down limbs where there isn’t really a workaround for dogs. Probably most dogs would be ok, but some might not be happy.

Comments
Comments: Beautiful day to revisit this one. Very quiet with only two other hikers all day. No spikes necessary as there was no ice anywhere except a few random seeps and no snow at all!
