Comments
Comments: Stayed at Great Bear cabin for a couple of days and hiked the Hurricane trail to the view point. Cold, and windy. Some flurries at the trail head. A lot of leaf litter ( duff ) right now. This can make following any trail difficult. The higher up you go the more snow and crusty ice you will experience. No need for crampons, micros or snow shoes yet. The small streams were still running. The bog bridges and rocks and roots up near the view point require more attention and caution. It’s real easy to slip and take a dinger if you’re not careful.
