| Comments: |
Lots of blue ice above the Shining Rock side trail on Falling Waters, as usual. Woods above the hut have long sections of ice. Agony Ridge down to the viewpoints had tricky blue and black ice. We wore spikes on upper Falling Waters (not across ridge) and from Lafayette’s summit down to the Red Dike.
Long, awesome day with Chris, Renee and Michael. Views were spectacular, into New York to the west and the Rangeley’s to the northeast. Negotiating the ice was tedious but the ridge walk more than compensated. |
