Comments
Comments: It was 18 degrees when we started our hike up Mt Cabot but clear blue skies were predicted with almost no wind. The trail was mostly dry but had a few icy patches that were avoidable. Carried spikes but they stayed in the pack. Once we hit Kilkenny Ridge Trail at 3 miles, the trail was snow covered to the summit. Sat in the warm sun on the cabin porch for a lunch break before heading back to the car. There was a feel of winter in the air on this beautiful day. The views from Bunnell Rock were stunning and we were lucky enough to have had this beautiful mountain to ourselves.
