Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: The fish hatchery gate was open. We were told not to worry about getting out. If the gate was closed, we could just open it. We got down around 4pm and had no problem getting out. I don't believe the access road is plowed to the trailhead in the winter.

Comments
Comments: This is a beautiful trail this time of year. The lack of foliage on the trees made for a beautiful surrounding while on trail. As mentioned there is ice and mud on the trail. The mud was easy to navigate around, the ice not always as easy. Watch for glazed rocks. We never put on our spikes. I would imagine this will change very soon. The leaves on the trail were packed down which was nice; especially with some "hidden" ice on trail.
