Comments: Winter is glacially slow to arrive, but winning the battle by attrition. Bare to the view sign. The ice luge has grown this week quite a bit higher. Snow enters around 3000; but tis but a decorative dusting at most. There are more icy spots than last visit a few days ago, but nothing that would require the use of microspikes at this time. Wild inversion going on, 20 in the parking lot, 39 at the summit (same digital thermometer). Lots of snow being blown on the upper 1/2-1/3 of Highland, but that's it - and it's a sharp cutoff. All other ski trails witnessed are devoid of any snow at all. Did hear what sounds like bleeding of a lot of gun valves so sounds like they are in the early stages of prepping to blow snow on the boneyard or tippy. 28 to go for 366...
