Comments
Comments: Trail is very eroded down low but it's been that way for years. Lots of thick ice flows running down the trail, so microspikes were needed pretty soon after we got beyond the eroded sections and stayed on our feet all the way to the summit (some spots worse than others but we left our spikes on and were glad we did!). Some light snow on trail as well. Only saw 3 other friendly hikers and it was a beautiful, calm day on the summit. I think the thick ice is here to stay until it's covered with snow, so don't attempt this trail without microspikes! Happy hiking!
