Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Dropped my truck at LW at 6:30AM, very few vehicles at the time; bathrooms are open again. Haystack road is open, three other vehicles there when we arrived at 7AM.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Ice - Black, Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth, Ice - Blue
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Light Traction
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Little River isn't running very high, but still enough where you'll need to choose your path carefully if trying to keep feet dry. Rocks at surface level were iced over as well as rocks just below the surface (suggesting the water levels have risen slightly this morning?). We went about 100ft upstream, tossed on spikes, and found easier crossing. No issues on the Bondcliff Trail crossings.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: North Twin trail is in great shape. No issues found on any trails.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: None seen today but should be fine for hiking dogs.

Comments
Comments: The first significant ice on NTT somewhere around 4200 ft. where spikes went on. It wasn't consistent ice, there is a good 1" covering of snow here. On the south side of North Twin was the iciest section of trail encountered all day. There were ice flows on the big steps but not overly difficult with good foot placement in spikes. Twinway to the Bondcliff trail was maybe 2-3" of snow, slightly less on West Bond Spur. A few sections of ice on the north side of Bond. Otherwise, it was dry rock on the summits and up and over Bondcliff. The snow/ice quicky disappears south of Bondcliff.

It was a bit gusty on South Twin, Guyot, West Bond, although NW direction so it was mostly at my back. Lulled by the time I hit Bond and Bondcliff.
