Comments
Comments: Beautifully maintained section of the M-M trail. Significant leaves along the middle section. Gap Mountain had great nearly 360 degree views, North to Monadnock, westerly to Little Monadnock, South into MA. and the Gap Mountain South Peak. Thought we could follow what looked like a herd path directly to South but others made the same mistake, the herd paths end at the top of a significant cliff. Backtracking we continued on the M-M southerly finding the well-worn unnamed but easy to follow trail heading thorough the col toward the South Peak. No views but a huge cairn marking the summit. Returned the same way.
