| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Starr King Road is still very badly washed out. They are starting to regrade it, but have only done up to the first house so far. Unless you have high clearance, park in the winter lot (the entrance there was regraded) or the lot next to the gas station. |

Beautiful undercast on Waumbek on a bluebird day. Saw 10 other people on a Wednesday in November. Everyone had the same idea with the weather getting squirrely in the next few days. The trail where it traverses the west side of the ridge was icy this morning, with both sheets and overnight ice from trees dropping down. Once the sun hit it, it melted a bit. Trail was smooth-going for the most part, but that will probably change in the next few days. |
