Champney brook was in very good shape. We were able to use microspikes the whole way. Three of us broke out the cut off trail over to middle sister, and across the ridge of the three sisters to chocorua. There were alot of deep drifts in this section, so snowshoes are still needed. Piper appeared to also be broken out well and there were snowshoe tracks on west side and liberty trails. It was a clear day on the summit with low wind and great views. |
