| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Found out today that access to Mt. Crescent trail and Cook path now begins on Jimtown logging road. The previous southernmost sections from Jimtown to Randolph Hill Rd have been closed. Boothman Springs is also only accessible from Jimtown and does not connect to RHR. Trails in great shape post-storm. Only a few blowdowns easy to navigate. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Good dog hike. Very tough scramble just below south view spur in current conditions |

Awesome day accompanying Dan while he redlined some RCF trails. Snowshoes car to car. Some ankle turning rocks lurking down low but mostly great conditions. Going down the scramble from southern view was super sketchy. Going back up it for the 2nd summit was much easier. no cars or people all day although the area had seen traffic since storm. We helped pack down a few previous snowshoe tracks. Tracks headed towards Randolph mountain as well. Only evidence of barebooting we saw all day was from a moose on Carlton Notch! Busted out the Nordic skis afterwards to check out Jimtown. Skiing was meh. We skied Boothman Springs real quick also which was NOT fun-way too shallow/boney down there. |
