 | Comments: |
The trail to the split on Hancock Notch trail is completely packed and consolidated. I wore my rock spikes to that point. I opted to ascend North Hancock and donned my MSRs before starting. Even on the steeps the snow is pretty well packed and my snowshoes were able to grab the snow really well. Between the peaks the snow is much looser. I also descended using a combo of butt sledding and grippy snowshoes. Went back to rock spikes once down low. No views today, but it didn't matter. Just an absolutely beautiful day in the woods. |
