| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
I was amazed that Long Pond Road was open and I could drive to the trailhead. The road is not plowed but other cars have been out that way so there are tracks. |

| Surface Conditions: |
Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Ice - Breakable Crust |

| Recommended Equipment: |
Light Traction |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
I removed the awkward blowdown just below the summit spur junction, and delimbed the walkunder near the trailhead. I know the trail adopter and he’s not mad about this. :) |

| Comments: |
We hiked out and back from Long Pond Road. The trail has something for everyone: ice, mud, puddles, bare rock, and packed powder. It’s way too bony for snowshoes but rock spikes worked perfectly. Moosilauke was socked in so we didn’t get views, but it was like hiking in Narnia, so we didn’t mind! |
