| Comments: |
We carried snowshoes, but snow depth ranged from 0 to about 6 inches and the snow on the trail was somewhat packed, so we never used the snowshoes. We wore microspikes car to car, but there was almost not enough snow for them either! There is exposed rock along much of the trail and it was hard to avoid dulling our spikes on them. We visited the lime kilns on the way out - they're very close to the Chippewa Trail, and easy to find (signs), so they're worth the trip. |
