| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
We parked at the south trailhead on Long Pond Rd., which is open, with just a thin layer of snow on it. Ordinary cars should have no trouble getting in and out. |
|
| Surface Conditions: |
Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth, Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Snow/Ice - Small Patches |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
Light Traction |
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
None to speak of. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
It would be nice to have a sign at the point near the Blueberry Mountain summit where the summit spur leaves the main trail. |

| Comments: |
We did an out-and-back from the south trailhead. Most of the trail consisted of packed snow/ice of minimal depth, with stretches of bare rock ledges (in most such places we could walk on the snow on the edges of the trail to avoid dulling our spikes). There was a few brief places where there was a little mud or standing water, but they were avoidable/unproblematic for winter boots, so hardly worth mentioning. |
